Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
(A Popular Option for International Students)
This is a permanent resident immigration route for individuals with Canadian work or study experience. You may qualify under this program if you have worked or studied in Canada in the past or if you are currently doing so. Applicants must meet minimum requirements such as:
- One year of skilled, professional, or technical work experience in Canada (with proper authorization in the 3 years prior to their application)
- Work experience must be at either managerial level (Skill type 0), professional (Skill Level A), and technical or trade (Skill Level B)
Canadian Experience Class applications are also processed through the Express Entry selection system for immigration to Canada. Eligible candidates must make an expression of interest in immigrating to Canada, create an online Express Entry profile, and receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence before they may make an application for Permanent Residence.
